PRIORITIES USA LAUNCHES DIGITAL CAMPAIGN IN SEVEN STATES TO INFORM VOTERS OF PRESIDENT TRUMP’S HEALTH CARE SABOTAGE
Facebook Ads Will Promote Stories Warning of Soaring Insurance Premiums Due to Trump’s Reckless Action
WASHINGTON — In response to President Trump’s decision to cut off cost-sharing reduction payments that help millions of Americans afford health care, Priorities USA announced the start of a new digital campaign to ensure that voters know about the President’s actions to sabotage the health care system and force millions of Americans to face higher premiums.
The ads are now running on Facebook and promote news stories highlighting the premium hikes, increased health care costs and marketplace instability that will follow Trump’s attack on the health care system. Specifically, Priorities is targeting Obama/Trump voters in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. To view an example of an ad, click here.
“By ending subsidies that millions of hardworking Americans have come to rely on, Donald Trump has chosen to use the office of the presidency to actively harm his fellow citizens, and the Republican Party is letting him get away with it,” said Patrick McHugh, Executive Director of Priorities USA. “As premiums rise and insurers begin to exit the marketplace, Priorities will make sure that voters across the country understand that Trump and his Republican allies are to blame.”
This campaign represents Priorities’ continued commitment to holding Trump accountable for his handling of the nation’s health care system. Since its 2017 relaunch, Priorities has run numerous digital campaigns around Trump and the Republicans’ disastrous attempt to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act and is currently airing a television ad around the President’s plan to cut taxes for the rich and make the rest of us pay for it.
