RELEASE: Congressman Conor Lamb Joins Priorities as Strategic Advisor
Danielle Butterfield Will Continue to Serve as President and Executive Director
WASHINGTON, DC – Priorities announced today that former Congressman Conor Lamb joins as a Strategic Advisor. In his role at Priorities, Lamb will support strategic initiatives focused on expanding Democratic outreach, elevating the critical need for innovation, and strengthening the party’s digital infrastructure to build sustainable pathways to victory in 2026 and beyond.

Lamb’s work with Priorities comes at a critical juncture as the Democratic party continues to grapple with significant digital and analytical shortcomings from the 2024 election cycle, including the over-reliance on data as a proxy for impact, and the aversion to running digital-first campaigns that do not just replicate strategies of TV, mail or field.
Since last November, Priorities has been working intensively to address Democrats’ toughest questions about the evolving internet landscape and the challenges they continue to face in online persuasion and mobilization campaigns. Through several new projects, Priorities is seeking to shift more resources in the progressive space to using digital data to inform its targeting, messaging and measurement options. Priorities is conducting deep research into voter behavior patterns online to shed more light on how voters are using the internet, and how we can use those insights to ensure our messages actually break through.

Congressman Conor Lamb is a former federal prosecutor and Marine Corps veteran who has worked to strengthen the Democratic Party and expand its reach since his time in Congress. Elected in 2018 after winning a highly contested special election, he built a reputation for pragmatic leadership and a focus on delivering results for veterans and workers. Prior to Congress, Lamb served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney combating violent crime and the opioid epidemic, and now continues his work as an attorney and law professor in Pennsylvania.
