Priorities USA Launches Six-Figure Digital Ad Buy in Florida Ahead of Trump Campaign Kickoff
Priorities USA is launching a six-figure digital advertising campaign in Florida ahead of Donald Trump’s campaign kickoff rally in Orlando, FL on Tuesday, June 18th. The ads will feature prominently on local news sites such as the Orlando Sentinel, the Palm Beach Post, and the Tampa Bay Times, and they will reach Florida voters as they stream videos and consume Trump-related content on national news sites, ensuring Trump doesn’t have the space to himself. The digital campaign highlights the challenges Americans face in affording health insurance and shows how Trump’s economic policies are out of touch with the needs of everyday Floridians.
Trump’s tax cut for billionaires raised Floridians’ health insurance premiums in 2019 by an estimated $1,860. If that wasn’t bad enough, Trump’s policies would eliminate protections for 7.8 million Floridians with preexisting conditions.
Examples of the ads can be found here, here, and here.
“Donald Trump wants to come to Orlando and kick off his 2020 campaign by deceiving voters about his record on health care and the economy. But the truth is, Trump’s policies haven’t helped many Floridians – billionaires and big corporations are thriving while the middle class foots the bill. These ads will show Floridians how out of touch Trump and his policies are with the concerns of Floridan families,” said Guy Cecil, Chairman of Priorities USA. “Florida is a must-win state for Trump and he hopes to have the news to himself this week. These ads will help cut through his noise and give voters a look at the truth about Trump’s policies.”
This campaign is part of Priorities USA’s $100 million early spending program in Wisconsin, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. The ads will run statewide from Monday, June 17th through Monday, June 24th.
