Priorities USA Announces Record-Breaking Off-Year Fundraising Numbers
Priorities USA announced a $17.5 million haul across its three entities for the first half of 2021. The record-breaking figure surpasses the amount Priorities raised mid-year in 2017 by $13 million.
The record-breaking haul will support both direct engagement with voters through digital advertising and work to advance voting rights. Priorities USA recently announced a $20 million initial investment in voting rights litigation and direct voter education. Additionally, with millions brought in this early in the cycle, Priorities USA Action is laying a strong foundation to secure Democratic victories in the 2022 midterm elections.
“Priorities’ strong initial fundraising figures are a testament to the outstanding work of our staff, our leadership, and our partners,” said Guy Cecil, Chairman of Priorities USA. “Our expertise in voter engagement, our commitment to protecting the right to vote have not gone unnoticed. As we head toward one of the most important midterm elections of our lifetime, I’m proud that we have attracted the support necessary to continue to safeguard the right to vote, hold Republicans accountable, and advocate for President Biden’s historic agenda.”
“I’m encouraged that our digital-first voter engagement approach has gained such strong support so early in the 2022 cycle,” said Danielle Butterfield, Executive Director of Priorities USA. “Our supporters know that in order to be successful, we need to use the best, most up-to-date strategies to reach voters. Priorities continues to lead the field in innovative advertising and messaging strategies — the record-breaking support we’ve received reflects that expertise.”
