Priorities USA Action Stays Focused on Health Care in New Bilingual Ad
Priorities USA Action is releasing a new digital ad, “Closer Than Ever,” highlighting Donald Trump’s failure to protect the health care of the American people. The Trump administration has repeatedly moved to gut Medicare and Medicaid and is currently asking the Supreme Court to overturn the Affordable Care Act.
“Closer Than Ever” is running in both English and Spanish on digital platforms in Florida, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. The ad will focus specifically on reaching the Latino community. The ad contrasts Donald Trump’s repeated attempts to gut the American health care system with Joe Biden’s promise to build on the Affordable Care Act and expand health care access for tens of millions of Americans.
Priorities’ research has consistently shown health care to be among the top issues for voters as they head to the polls. In the midst of a global pandemic, the White House has continued to flout basic mitigation measures recommended by the CDC and pursue policies that would wreak havoc on the American health care system.
Priorities is on track to spend more than $200 million on TV, digital, and radio advertising in key battleground states in order to defeat Donald Trump and ensure that Joe Biden is the next president.
“As Mike Pence demonstrated yet again at the debate this week, the Trump administration has absolutely no plan to protect Americans with pre-existing conditions. Donald Trump’s singular focus on gutting the Affordable Care Act would leave millions of Latinos without access to affordable health coverage,” said Guy Cecil, Chairman of Priorities USA. “Joe Biden is the only candidate in this race who has promised to protect and expand the progress made by the Affordable Care Act. Meanwhile, Trump has no plan to protect Americans’ health care and openly violates basic health guidelines himself. He simply can’t be trusted to keep the American people safe. Joe Biden will provide the steady, responsible leadership we need.”
