Priorities USA Action Launching National TV & Digital Campaign Highlighting GOP Plan to Cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security to Pay for Tax Cuts for the Rich and Corporations
Washington, DC – Priorities USA Action is launching a $2 million national TV campaign to highlight Republican Leader Mitch McConnell’s admission that Republicans plan on cutting Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid to pay for their massive tax cuts for billionaires and corporations. The new ad, “Big Cuts,” begins running on Thursday and will continue running nation-wide through Election Day. The television campaign follows on the digital advertising that Priorities USA Action has been running in dozens of House, Senate and gubernatorial races around the country highlighting the Republican plan to cut Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid just to pay for new tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations. An example of those ads can be viewed here.
“Mitch McConnell helped frame the incredibly high stakes of this election,” said Priorities USA Action Chairman Guy Cecil. “Republicans already gave a massive tax cut to billionaires and corporations and, if they win in November, they’re going to pay for it with big cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. This is what the election is about. This is what is on the ballot on November 6th.”
