New Six Figure Ad Campaign to Run Across Digital Platforms and CTV

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Priorities USA Action in partnership with the American Federation of Teachers, launched a six-figure digital ad campaign featuring “Mr. Walz” and his former students from Minnesota. The new ad campaign is launching the same day that Governor Walz will accept the Democratic nomination for Vice President.

In the first ad of a series, Laura speaks about her experience with Mr. Walz as her teacher and how he wanted all students to feel comfortable in the classroom despite their political party or background.

“Priorities is thrilled to partner with AFT to communicate to voters online how incredible of a teacher Mr. Walz was, and the character, compassion and values that he will bring to the White House,” said Danielle Butterfield, Executive Director of Priorities USA Action. “Parents across the country understand the values of this message, which is why Priorities is communicating Gov. Walz’s commitment to students and bringing the country together as kids head back to school this fall.”

“In this ad, Laura spells out something that is no surprise to the students, teachers, football players, parents, voters of Minnesota and frankly, educators across the country: Tim Walz is the kind of guy who works hard to create opportunities that enable every child to flourish.” said Randi Weingarten, President of the American Federation of Teachers.

TRANSCRIPT

There’s a photograph in some of our yearbooks that shows Mr. Walz in his classroom teaching, and you’ll notice on the board behind him, he has stickers from every political candidate who was running that year and posters from each political party.

He deliberately did that, because he wanted all students to feel comfortable in the classroom, and I think that’s a really important piece of who he is.

He wants everyone to come to the table and figure out how to make a better America together.
