Clarke Humphrey Joining Priorities as Chief Impact Officer

Chris Carlon Promoted to Chief Marketing Officer

WASHINGTON, DC – Priorities announced today that it’s expanding its senior leadership team with Clarke Humphrey joining Priorities as Chief Impact Officer, and Chris Carlon expanding his role to Chief Marketing Officer. These leadership additions come at a pivotal moment as Priorities continues to focus on strengthening the left’s digital infrastructure, sharpening online persuasion, and building sustainable pathways to victory in 2026 and beyond.

As Chief Impact Officer, Humphrey will lead Priorities’ efforts to ensure its digital strategies, research, and tools translate into measurable, real-world impact for progressive partners and organizations. Her work will focus on bridging innovation and execution—helping partners better understand how voters engage online and how digital strategies can more effectively move persuasion and turnout.

Carlon’s expanded role as Chief Marketing Officer will oversee Priorities’ brand, messaging, and external communications, amplifying the organization’s work and ensuring its insights, tools, and findings reach the broader Democratic ecosystem. Under his leadership, Priorities will continue elevating the critical need for digital-first strategies that move beyond replicating TV tactics online.

“These leadership additions reflect where Priorities is headed and what the moment demands,” said Danielle Butterfield, President and Executive Director of Priorities. “We’re doubling down on innovation, impact, and execution – asking harder questions about how voters actually behave online and building smarter strategies to reach and persuade them. Priorities continues to redefine the role of outside groups by moving beyond traditional tactics and investing in the research, tools, and infrastructure Democrats need to win. Clarke and Chris bring the experience and vision we need to push our work forward and elect Democrats in 2026 and beyond.”

Clarke Humphrey joins Priorities from C+K, where she rose from Vice President to Principal of Strategy, leading high-impact work for clients including Harris for President, Planned Parenthood, and Médecins Sans Frontières. She previously served as Digital Director for the Biden White House’s COVID-19 Response Team, helping drive one of the largest public health mobilizations in U.S. history and contributing to the vaccination of more than 186 million Americans. As Deputy Digital Director for the 2020 Biden-Harris campaign, she helped power a record-shattering online fundraising program that raised nearly $1 billion. Clarke has also been at the forefront of modern Democratic digital strategy, modernizing grassroots fundraising as Online Fundraising Director at the DNC and serving as North Carolina Digital Director for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

Chris Carlon has been with Priorities since 2019 and is expanding on his work as Creative Director across two national election cycles, where he led brand strategy, creative production, and digital-first campaigns designed to meet voters where they are. He spearheaded the organization’s rebrand and recently led efforts to modernize messaging by integrating real-time digital signals and cultural insights alongside traditional polling. Prior to Priorities, Chris held creative roles at Planned Parenthood and GLAAD.

Humphrey and Carlon join the senior leadership team alongside Ryanne Brown, Chief Digital Communications Officer, and Jacqueline Grimsley, Chief Operating Officer.

For the last eight years, Priorities has run cutting-edge digital campaigns, answered critical strategic questions, and ensured that digital expertise translates into Democratic victories. Priorities has been instrumental in developing innovative approaches to in-house digital and analytics operations adopted by campaigns and organizations across the country.
