Statement from Priorities USA Chairman Guy Cecil on Katie Hobbs’ Successful Campaign for Arizona Governor
Priorities USA Chairman Guy Cecil issued the following statement in response to Katie Hobbs’ incredible victory in Arizona:
“I am delighted that Arizona has elected a strong, thoughtful leader like Katie Hobbs. As governor, Hobbs will help bring necessary progress to Arizona communities, work to protect fundamental rights and build a more equitable state.
“Arizona is a critical battleground state and Hobbs’ win is a testament to the hard work done by Democrats on the ground. Priorities is proud to have supported Democratic efforts in Arizona through a robust $16.1 million digital investment and I am incredibly grateful for our partners, Somos Votantes and NARAL. I am especially proud of our work to reach Latino Arizonans, who were decisive in this election.
“As we celebrate an encouraging win, we still recognize that the right to vote has been and is still under attack in Arizona. This cycle, Priorities engaged in critical litigation efforts that delivered relief for Arizona voters and shed light on the numerous efforts by Arizona Republicans to suppress the vote, particularly in marginalized communities.
