BlackPAC and Priorities USA Action Partner on Half Million Dollar Campaign Highlighting Kamala Harris’ Plans to Strengthen Entrepreneurship Targeting Black Voters
Targeted Ads Will Run on YouTube, Snapchat and CTV Throughout Pennsylvania, Including Pittsburgh and Philadelphia
Ads Focus on Trump and Vance’s Extremist Policies, Including Banning Black History Our Schools and Kamala Harris’ Plan for Black Entrepreneurs
Washington, D.C. (October 29, 2024) – BlackPAC and Priorities USA Action are partnering on a half million dollar campaign in the final stretch of the election, focusing on Vice President Kamala Harris’ plans for Black voters and Trump and Vance’s extreme policies, including banning Black history from schools.
The ads will run on YouTube, Snapchat and CTV throughout Pennsylvania, including in the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia areas.
“Past to Present” and “Serving” focus on Trump and Vance’s extremist plans that include banning Black history from our schools, taking away a women’s right to choose and more. The ad “Entrepreneurs” focuses on Kamala Harris’ economic plans for Black entrepreneurs by giving a $50,000 tax deduction to start up small business owners.
“We hear from Black voters everyday about how much they fear a Donald Trump reelection. And while the media may be focused on a set of marginal voices, for the vast majority of Black voters, the choice is clear. It’s important in these closing days that we remind our community what Trump represents and the untenable future for Black America that he will usher in,” said Adrianne Shropshire, Executive Director of BlackPAC. “Priorities is a longstanding partner with BlackPAC in our efforts to expand democratic participation in our community and we’re proud to close out this election cycle with our strongest partners.”
“Kamala Harris’ plans to support Black small business owners in contrast to Trump and Vance’s extreme policies is moving voters in the digital margins in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania,” said Danielle Butterfield, Executive Director, Priorities USA Action. “We are proud to work with BlackPAC to ensure all Black voters know about Harris’ economic plan to make entrepreneurship a reality. Priorities and BlackPAC remain committed to communicating with these key audiences that could tip the scale in the final lead-up to Election Day”
This ad campaign is a part of Priorities’ “Margins Project,” a multi-million-dollar digital ad program designed to bridge the gap in voter outreach that traditional grassroots efforts overlook. The program will reach Black voters across Pennsylvania — in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, but also in areas that are traditionally less dense with Black Pennsyvalians like Allentown, Harrisburg, Scranton and more.
This program is a part of BlackPAC’s efforts to mobilize Black voters in Philadelphia which includes Black radio advertising, local small business partnerships, direct mail, and door-to-door canvassing. Canvassers have already knocked on nearly 1 million doors in Philadelphia.
