Priorities USA Announces $1 Million Initial Digital Investment to Mobilize Voters Ahead of Georgia Runoff
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Priorities USA announced an initial $1 million digital investment in Georgia to reach AAPI, Latino and Black communities with “get out the vote” and voter protection ads. This campaign will mobilize critical constituencies to go to the polls and make their voices heard in the Georgia runoff race.
In addition to mobilization advertising on YouTube, social media and streaming TV, Priorities will also advertise on search platforms to connect voters who are looking for details about the election with reliable information about voting. Lastly, Priorities will target voters who live within a one-mile radius of a polling place with information on how, when and where to vote. Through this work, Priorities will engage Georgia voters who will once again decide a critical Senate election.
Separately, Priorities USA Action is emphasizing Republican candidate Herschel Walker’s extreme and restrictive views on abortion rights through targeted statewide digital advertising.
Priorities has been fighting for years to protect the right to vote in Georgia through litigation and additional voter protection programs. In May, Priorities filed a lawsuit alongside Vote.org and the Georgia Alliance for Retired Americans against the state’s “Wet Signature” rule in voter suppression bill SB 202 which requires a voter to use a pen to sign an absentee ballot application.
“The people of Georgia deserve a forward-looking leader like Senator Warnock to continue fighting for them in the Senate. Senator Warnock will continue to be an unwavering voice for working families and a steadfast supporter of progress that will benefit every Georgian,” said Aneesa McMillan, Deputy Executive Director of Priorities USA. “Voters across the country have already rejected the GOP’s extremism and election lies. Priorities is proud to support the critical work being done on the ground in Georgia to ensure that every community goes to the polls in December. After key victories in critical battleground states, Priorities is focused on supporting organizing efforts in Georgia to mobilize voters one more time this year in support of progress.”
