Priorities USA Action is releasing a new TV ad, ‘Antithetical,’ to run in battleground states featuring Donald Trump’s chaotic and violent response to the mostly peaceful protests that have swept the nation following the murder of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis. On Monday, while protesters peacefully gathered near the White House, law enforcement was ordered to violently clear the crowd with gas and flashbangs so Trump could stage a photo op. At a time when the country needs leadership, Donald Trump brings only more chaos, division, and racism.  

The ad will run as part of the seven-figure weekly ad buy across Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Priorities USA is on track to spend more than $200 million by the end of this year.

“George Floyd was murdered. Breonna Taylor was murdered. Too many of our Black brothers and sisters have been murdered. Donald Trump’s response yesterday was to order more violence against American citizens to further divide the country because he thinks it makes him look strong,” said Priorities USA Chairman Guy Cecil. “Donald Trump gassed peaceful protestors and clergy so he could use the Bible and a local church as a photo-op to justify his divisive, angry small-mindedness. He’s not decreasing tensions; he’s only making them worse. This is not leadership. This is a lethal combination of hatred, cowardice and narcissism.”
