Priorities USA Announces Record-Breaking Fundraising
Priorities USA and Priorities USA Action have obtained $88 million in commitments, including about $23.4 million already in the door through the end of June. This is the most money that Priorities has raised in the first half of a non-election year in the organization’s history. For comparison, at this point in 2015, Priorities had raised $15.7 million in a cycle that saw the organization raise and spend about $200 million.
In the first half of 2019, Priorities USA has conducted regular research on the 2020 election, launched on-the-ground programs in Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, and begun an issue advocacy ad campaign holding President Trump accountable for his economic policies that have harmed middle and working class Americans.
“We are thrilled with the level of support we have received at this early stage of the 2020 cycle,” said Guy Cecil, Chairman of Priorities USA. “The stakes have never been higher and Priorities is uniquely positioned to hold President Trump accountable at a time when many of our allies are focused on the primary. We cannot wait to take action and the early support we have received has enabled us to run a more robust program earlier than ever before.”
