Priorities USA Action and Senate Majority PAC Launch New Round of Ads Highlighting Mike Braun’s Shameful Business Practices
Washington, DC — Priorities USA Action and Senate Majority PAC are releasing a new round of digital ads focusing on Mike Braun’s history of mistreating Hoosier workers and using outsourced labor in order to put more money in his own pocket. The new ads come as part of Priorities USA Action and SMP’s previously announced $1 million campaign informing Indiana voters about Braun’s shameful career in business.
The new round of ads highlights key aspects of Braun’s background that Indiana voters need to know before heading to the polls this November. A review of Braun’s time in business shows that he made millions for himself while his company’s workers said they were forced to work long hours without overtime, and in some cases, he reportedly even fired workers refusing to comply. Braun also took advantage of outsourced labor and sold products made outside of the United States, even going so far as to vote against legislation that would protect Hoosier families from outsourcing as a state legislator.
The ads will continue to run across a variety of online ad platforms including social media feeds, YouTube, and a variety of banner and video networks. To view examples of the new ads, click here and here.
“Mike Braun wants to pretend that he’s a champion of middle-class Hoosiers, but the facts are clear: Braun spent his entire career in business getting rich off the backs of his hardworking employees,” said Matt Lopez, spokesman for Priorities USA Action. “Time and time again, Braun has been given the chance to stand up for working Hoosiers—and every time, he’s chosen his own interests instead. Priorities and SMP are committed to ensuring that Indiana voters know that they can’t trust Mike Braun to stand up for them in Washington.”
“Mike Braun has campaigned on the myth that he is an outsider who looks out for the middle class, but his actual record tells a different story: instead of protecting Hoosier jobs, Braun made millions off of foreign labor and foreign products,” said Chris Hayden, spokesperson for SMP. “SMP and Priorities are determined to make sure Hoosier voters know the truth; Mike Braun put profits over people. When given the opportunity, he has failed middle class Hoosiers, and he certainly won’t fight for hardworking Hoosiers as senator.”
