Priorities USA Action Launches Updated Version of “First” TV Ad
Priorities USA Action is releasing an updated version of its most recent TV ad, “First,” which focuses on Trump’s failures that have helped make America first in the world in coronavirus cases and deaths. The ad has been updated to note that 70,000 Americans have now lost their lives and millions are out of work due to COVID-19. In the midst of this tragedy and growing death toll, Donald Trump has continued to praise himself, essentially declaring victory as thousands of Americans get sick and die every day.
Trump claimed that he would put “America First,” and now he has — the U.S. is facing an increasing number of deaths, the highest in the world, as a result of the coronavirus, and more than 30 million people have lost their jobs. The ad will continue to run on TV in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Priorities has already spent more than $11 million on TV and digital advertising holding Donald Trump accountable for his failed response to the coronavirus. This is part of Priorities’ $200 million commitment to defeat Donald Trump, with $65 million of TV reservations already made through Election Day.
“The heartbreaking truth is that this ad, even with its updated numbers, will be out of date before most voters in these states even see it. The number of American deaths continues to rise, and yet Donald Trump cares more about the election than leading,” said Priorities USA Chairman Guy Cecil. “America is first in the world in loss of life because Donald Trump downplayed the threat and has mismanaged this crisis from the very beginning. He wants to make America forget, but we will not let that happen.”
