Priorities USA Action to Launch $3.7 Million Digital Ad Campaign Rallying African-American and Latinx Voters in Support of Bill Nelson and Andrew Gillum
Washington, DC – Priorities USA Action is launching a $3.7 million digital advertising campaign focused on motivating and mobilizing voters for Bill Nelson and Andrew Gillum this fall. The campaign will largely be focused on speaking to African-American, Latinx and younger voters about the issues affecting them and their communities, as well as the importance of voting and making their voices heard.
Bill Nelson and Andrew Gillum are champions for raising the minimum wage, ensuring fair pay for teachers, and providing Floridians access to affordable health care—especially those with pre-existing conditions. They’ve heard from voters in the African-American and Latinx communities about the issues that affect their lives, which is why they’ve challenged the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law and pushed for environmental justice to protect kids from the harshest effects of climate change.
The ads, which will run statewide in English and Spanish, will appear on such digital platforms as Facebook, YouTube, Spotify and Telemundo. To view examples of the ads in English, click here and here. To view examples of the ads in Spanish, click here and here.
“With health care, fair wages and the environment on the ballot in this election, the stakes could not be higher—and Bill Nelson and Andrew Gillum know it,” said Matt Lopez, spokesperson for Priorities USA Action. “Nelson and Gillum are proven fighters who show up and listen to every Floridian, and they won’t let the needs of any community be ignored. Priorities is proud to launch this campaign to empower voters to stand with Nelson and Gillum and to take the fate of their state and their country back into their own hands.”
