House Majority PAC & Priorities USA Release New Digital Ads Slamming Republicans on “Age Tax”
Digital Spots Running in AZ-02, CA-10, CA-21, CA-45, CA-49, FL-25, MI-07, MI-08, MI-11, and WI-07
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, House Majority PAC and Priorities USA jointly released a series of digital ads titled “Your Vote vs. Their Dollar” targeting ten House Republicans across the country who voted for the disastrous GOP health care bill. The ads, which begin running today, focus on the bill’s unfair “Age Tax,” which would allow insurance companies to charge people 50 and over premiums up to five times more than younger people.
“House Republicans had a choice, and they decided to throw their constituents under the bus by voting for a disastrous healthcare bill that imposes a devastating ‘Age Tax’ on older Americans,” said House Majority PAC Executive Director Charlie Kelly. “We won’t let them forget this unforgivable vote that would hurt millions of people across the country.”
“Voters deserve to know that their Republican members of Congress voted party-line for a plan that would allow insurance companies to charge older Americans more for their health care,” said Priorities USA Executive Director Patrick McHugh. “These House Republicans’ vote to force an ‘Age Tax’ on older Americans while cutting taxes for millionaires is simply unforgivable.”
