STATEMENT FROM PRIORITIES USA FOUNDATION AND THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF NEW HAMPSHIRE ON SB 3

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, in response to Judge Temple’s ruling on the preliminary injunction in the case of SB 3, the Priorities USA Foundation and the League of Women Voters of NH released the following statement:

“As voters in Laconia and Belmont head to the polls today, we are pleased that Judge Temple has stopped the state from enforcing SB 3’s burdensome penalties for New Hampshire voters without access to very specific documentation. No one should be barred from voting simply because they cannot jump through increasingly difficult bureaucratic hoops or for fear of a state agent visiting their home. It is clear from Judge Temple’s ruling that the entire law will be examined with the deep skepticism it deserves, and we look forward to continuing to make our case against it in court.”
