Statement from Priorities USA Chairman Guy Cecil on the House Passing the Build Back Better Act
Today, Priorities USA Chairman Guy Cecil issued the following statement in response to the Build Back Better Act passing in the U.S. House of Representatives:
“Today, the House took a big step toward delivering the most sweeping progress for American families in a generation. After the successful passage of the American Rescue Plan and the bipartisan infrastructure bill, Democrats are delivering on our promises to the American people. While Republicans spend time defending January 6th insurrectionists and promoting the Big Lie, Democrats are lowering the cost of life-saving medicines, creating millions of new jobs, making pre-K available to every child and making the wealthiest pay their fair share.
“Despite staunch opposition from Republicans, Democrats are focused on building the middle class and supporting American families. Priorities USA will continue to make the case for President Biden’s agenda and ensure that voters know who is fighting for their families to get ahead.”
