Priorities USA and Latino Victory Project announced additional investments in Virginia ahead of critical statewide elections. The groups added a $57,500 digital media buy to ongoing advertising spending to bolster efforts to reach Latino voters.
The GOTV ads will run in both English and Spanish at a crucial moment ahead of statewide elections in Virginia. The program will run exclusively on digital platforms such as social media and other online platforms including audio-only formats.
Priorities previously announced an additional $1.7 million investment in Virginia and Pennsylvania. The multimillion-dollar mobilization program included ads in both English and Spanish and specifically emphasizes reaching Black voters in Virginia.
“There is no such thing as an ‘off-year’ at Priorities USA. Our team is working to secure Democratic victories in Virginia so that progressive leaders continue to govern on behalf of working families, not the wealthy few,” said Guy Cecil, Chairman of Priorities USA. “We are proud to partner with Latino Victory Project to ensure that Latino voters in Virginia have their voices heard. In an ever-changing media landscape, Priorities is employing the most up-to-date tactics to reach Virginians online and ensure that voters stand up to be counted not just in this election but in every election.”
“Latinos are a growing and influential population in Virginia. Latinos want an inclusive government that will help working families thrive and focus on issues that matter to them, such as expanding affordable, accessible health care and creating good-paying jobs,” said Nathalie Rayes, Latino Victory Project president and CEO. “Latino Victory Project has worked to increase Latino voter turnout in Virginia since 2017, and we’re proud to partner again with Priorities USA this year to continue our work to strengthen Latino voter turnout for Democratic candidates.”
