Priorities USA Action and Senate Majority PAC Launch $1 Million Digital Ad Campaign Informing Voters About Mike Braun’s History of Shady Business and Worker Exploitation

Washington, DC — Priorities USA Action and Senate Majority PAC are launching a $1 million campaign highlighting Mike Braun’s extensive record of shady business practices and his company’s habitual mistreatment of its workers—facts that Hoosiers need to know before they cast their ballots this November.

The campaign will focus on Braun’s tendency to place his companies’ bottom lines and his own personal wealth above the needs and concerns of his employees. Throughout the course of the campaign, Indiana voters will learn about Braun’s company’s 26 citations for wage and overtime violations; the investigation that found that Braun’s companies forced workers to work long hours without overtime, breaks or time for meals; and one particularly egregious instance in which one of Braun’s employees said he was fired and kicked off of his health insurance while recovering from heart surgery. Hoosiers who wish to learn more details about Braun’s shameful record will be directed to visit www.badbusinessbraun.com.

The ads will run across a variety of ad platforms including social media feeds, YouTube, and a variety of banner and video networks. To view an example of the ads, click here.

“During his disgraceful first career as a businessman, Mike Braun cheated his workers and betrayed the ones who depended on him most,” said Matt Lopez, spokesman for Priorities USA Action. “Hoosiers deserve a senator like Joe Donnelly who will look out for them and their families—not a corrupt businessman like Mike Braun who will only look out for the health of his bank account. Priorities and SMP will make sure that Indiana voters know the truth about Braun and will hold him accountable as he tries to defend his indefensible record.”

“Mike Braun is a multi-millionaire CEO who claims he will fight for Hoosiers but, when given the chance, treated workers like trash for his own personal profits,” said Chris Hayden, spokesman for SMP. “Braun’s egregious business record speaks for itself. He has never and will never look out for hardworking Hoosiers. Joe Donnelly is the only candidate that Hoosiers can trust, and we are happy to partner with Priorities to make sure Hoosier families know the truth about Mike Braun.”
