Priorities USA Action and House Majority PAC Launch $270,000 Digital Campaign in Three Key California House Districts
Washington, DC – Priorities USA Action and House Majority PAC are launching a $270,000 digital ad campaign against Republican candidates running to represent California’s 39th, 48th and 49th congressional districts. The campaign, which begins today and will run through California’s primary election day on June 5, will inform Southern California voters about these Republican candidates’ records of troubling behavior and broken promises.
In CA-48, the ads will focus on Scott Baugh’s history of run-ins with the law, which has resulted in Baugh being indicted on multiple felony charges and paying nearly $50,000 in civil penalties.
In CA-39, the ads will highlight Shawn Nelson’s hypocrisy on taxpayer-funded pensions and Bob Huff’s history of supporting tax increases on Californians.
In CA-49, the ads will hold Rocky Chavez accountable for getting rich on California taxpayers’ dime.
In all three districts, the campaign will consist of ads running on Facebook, YouTube and Google, as well as non-skippable video ads on the Fox News website and live streaming service. An example of one the ads can be viewed here.
“House Majority PAC and Priorities USA Action are teaming up for a cutting-edge campaign that will work to ensure Southern Californians in these newly competitive congressional districts have the opportunity to vote for a Democrat in November,” said Charlie Kelly, Executive Director of House Majority PAC. “Voters have a right to know just what’s at stake given these Republican candidates’ troubling records. We’re proud to work with Priorities once again to maximize Democratic wins and hold Republicans accountable.”
“As Democrats work to retake the House this November, we need to make sure that we’re maximizing our opportunities to win, which, in California, means ensuring at least one Democrat makes it onto the general election ballot,” said Patrick McHugh, Executive Director of Priorities USA Action. “Southern California voters deserve to have all of the facts before they cast their ballots, especially with such a crowded field of candidates. Priorities and HMP will be communicating with voters online from now until primary day to help ensure Democratic success in these races.”
